This is what a $165 ticket gets you in China, a business class seat in one of the 5 stars airlines, Hainan airlines.
In the U.S. you're luck to get snacks on most national "first class" even Delta one you get crap cold food, nuts and a $3K cost nothing comparable whatsoever.
I flew recently from south Chinas biggest city, Guangzhou to panda's city of Chengdu with Hainan Airlines, you probably never heard of this airlines but it was awarded 5 stars airlines due to its outstanding services.
A 2h flight on A330-300 was amazing, the flight attendants were incredibly sweet. The food service on this short flight was salad plus some fruit and prawns. You could choose hot meal as well I didn't order since I had some food at the lounge prior to the flight.
What I like the most about Chinese airlines is the outstanding services, comfortable airplanes on national flights, comfortable seats (blankets offered) for instance delta one from LAX to New York they don't offer blankets, and very attentions crews.
If you ever happen to be in China you should absolutely try their national products, specially Hainan airlines.
