❄️ Feb 8 – Heavy Snow Day in Jeju.
Jeju is having a real winter day today ❄️
Strong winds, falling temperatures, and heavy snow across the island.
Mount Hallasan has nearly 20cm of snow,
many mountain roads (including 1100 Road) are fully closed,
and some flights were cancelled or delayed due to icy runways.
Even coastal areas are seeing snow today, which is quite rare.
👉 Good news:
The cold snap is expected to ease starting tomorrow.
Temperatures will slowly go up, winds will calm down,
and road conditions should improve as snow removal continues.
⚠️ Winter travel tips in Jeju:
Heavy snow can cause sudden road closures, especially in mountain areas
During snowstorms, taxis are hard to find and waiting times can be long
In winter, staying near Jeju City / close to the airport is the safest option
Always check road and flight updates before heading out
